Shell Solid Without Adding?

trashcan

Question

Can't remember how to use Shell Solid without adding to the overall footprint.

I.e., if you have a 1" cube and your shell solid is 1/4" it makes the cube 1 1/4" - how do you use Shell Solid so it doesn't add to the cube? I want to subtract from the inside. Obviously know how to do this with workarounds and a cube, but harder to achieve with a more complex object.

Running on fumes right now so apologies in advance.

So obvious lol

If you look closely at the screenshot of the PJ lens, you'll see I did the same thing there. Happens all the time when you're moving fast, particularly with that tool / modes.
