alimcgpm
Hi I'm hoping for a definitive answer on this as I have searched through the forum. I'm using VW2022 SP3 on a Mac Book Pro M1 Pro running Monetray 12.2. When using the shaded view (formely Open GL) I cannot get shadows to show even though it is checked in Shaded Options. Can ayone help please? Is there a global setting or a MacBook setting I can change. TIA Edited April 13, 2022 by alimcgpm spelling Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
In Shaded, shadows need something to cast onto. That something has to be a 3D object. So if you have drawn a layer plane rectangle you will not see the shadows. Convert the rectangle to a 3D polygon and your shadows should show up. Quote Link to comment
0 markdd
If you are using light objects, then need to enable shadows on the light object itself. Edited April 13, 2022 by markdd Quote Link to comment

Chair on stage etc. I am seeing ambient inclusion but no shadows. Quote Link to comment

0 Pat Stanford
Do you have the On Ground Only check box checked? If so, perhaps your shadows are "under" your 3D poly. Quote Link to comment
