Grant W.K. Sung
There are a couple posts about this, but I haven't quite figured out if there's any further information about this question available. Is there a method, now that the "Ceiling View/Floor View" toggle has been eliminated, to get a good architecturally attractive view of the wall breaks, the door head, with the door swing turned off? I understand that the Viewport command (otherwise a great feature) can get me part of the way there. I haven't figured out the way to get the windows and doors to create the wall break lines. Thanks to any who can help. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
if you use the class control, you can set up your views or viewports to show either doors/windows grayed out or off. I like them grayed as it helps locating light switches. the class of walls, by the way, would remain visible. hope this helps... Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
This is covered in the online VectorWorks Help for the Architecty version. Do a search for the topic: Controlling the View of Windows and Doors Quote Link to comment
Grant W.K. Sung
Thanks Mike and Jim-- The online help and getting a handle on the "Class Settings" portion of the object attributes was key to understanding it. Quote Link to comment
Jodyb17
I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I cannot seem to get this to work. I change all of the parts available to change to the style 1 class and turn that class off, but no visible change is apparent. What am I missing? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Turn the sills class off and turn on the ceiling-main class. Quote Link to comment
