  1. I'm running VWA 12.5.3 on Windows Vista Business and have noticed that when I do an Open GL render, there is a tendency to "mask off" the rendering on the right side of the image--sometimes the bottom as well. It is almost as if there is an "L"-shaped object that is opaque to the rendering. Line drawings will display on either side of this "L" but the rendering disappears behind it. Any assistance troubleshooting this would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks Mike and Jim-- The online help and getting a handle on the "Class Settings" portion of the object attributes was key to understanding it.
  3. There are a couple posts about this, but I haven't quite figured out if there's any further information about this question available. Is there a method, now that the "Ceiling View/Floor View" toggle has been eliminated, to get a good architecturally attractive view of the wall breaks, the door head, with the door swing turned off? I understand that the Viewport command (otherwise a great feature) can get me part of the way there. I haven't figured out the way to get the windows and doors to create the wall break lines. Thanks to any who can help.
  4. The roof worked out, I think. The 2D info that's showing up is the plan view of the objects I'm keeping visible for the 3D view. That is, the exterior walls are drawn on one class and layer. When I make that class invisible on the plan it also disappears in the 3D drawing. I'm guessing that I'm not thinking of this process in the right way, I just haven't figured out the right way as yet...
  5. I'm beginning to use VWA after years of working in AutoCAD--I really appreciate its capabilities, but am trying to get a better grasp of the areas in which it differs from AutoCAD: namely, Sheets, Classes, Layers and the 2D/3D environments. Having created a drawing using the Setup Assistant, I made a model based upon imported DWG file (plan only). I'm trying to get the 3D view without the 2D plan superimposed upon it. Is this an issue of changing all the layers of the plan view so they can be turned off for a sheet showing the model or is there an easier way to hide or obscure the 2D plan? Thanks!
