Susanna 1 Posted January 14 I am creating a plant report and the total numbers on the report include plants for a layer that is switched off... do I need to delete this other layer or is there a way to only show the number of plants in the active layer? Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Pat Stanford 1,526 Posted January 14 You will need to edit the Report Criteria to either explicitly list the layers you want to count, or to explicitly exclude the layers you don't want counted. You might also be able to use a Visibility criteria instead, but then your counts could change based on other visibility changes. Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Susanna 1 Posted January 14 thank you so much for your answer - do I need to create a custom report rather than a preformatted report to do this? Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Pat Stanford 1,526 Posted January 14 You can start with the reformatted report. In the Worksheet View menu make sure that Database Headers is checked. This should give you the row that shows the formulas rather than the data. It will be (eg) 3, not 3.1, 3.2, etc. Right Click in the Row Header (on the 3) and choose Edit Report. From there click the Advanced Criteria button in the top section and you should be able to do what you need. If this is something you will do all the time you might want to save it in a Template or Favorite file, or even add it to the Default Content so it will show up as a preformatted report. Ask again if you need more help. Quote Share this post Link to post

0 Susanna 1 Posted January 14 when using preformatted report I see there is an option for Plant list types which puts the plant list into categories of trees, shrubs etc at what point / how do I assign my plants into these categories? is it when I create the plants? if so where / how?.... 0 Pat Stanford 1,526 Posted January 14 @Tamsin Slatter can you help with Susanna's question on plant categories? Quote Share this post Link to post

0 Tamsin Slatter 503 Posted January 18 Hi Susannah There is an example of such a worksheet that comes with Landmark in the preformatted reports. It's called Plant List-Types. There's a version with images and a version without. For each section of the report, there is a separate database row, which includes criteria to filter the results based on the information in the category field. I hope that helps. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
