Thomas K.
Hi what might be the best way to implement cee forms and powerlock to the signal and connection types? Edited January 30, 2020 by Kelzilla1000 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted January 31, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 31, 2020 There are a set of text files that ConnectCAD uses a set of text files to store this type of info. To add a new connector or signal type you open the appropriate file and add the new types, make sure you follow the format that is used in the text file! The files are located in the Vectoworks application folder, Vectorworks 2020 > Plug-Ins > connectCAD-Data The files are clearly labeled and can be edited with any text editor. It is a good idea to make a back up copy of the files before you make any changes Also the custom connectors and signal types will only be available in your copy of VW. If you want to have them available in project sharing environment or for colleges to be able to use the new connector and signal types, they will need to do the same customization in their ConnectCAD data files. 2 Quote Link to comment

Is there function in ConnectCAD to refresh these lists without having to restart VW? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Conrad Preen Posted March 10, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 10, 2020 Hi Daniel, Short answer to that is no. However I will add an enhancement request to make this reload happen via ConnectCAD Settings. That seems reasonable. Thanks for reaching out, Conrad 1 Quote Link to comment
Max_
Hi In the SignalTypes Dokument, what does Prefix stand for? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Conrad Preen Posted April 4, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 4, 2020 Hi Max, The Prefix letter can be used in cable numbering formats e.g. S0123 - S for standard def serial digital. Use the %s tag to insert signal type prefix. Conrad 1 Quote Link to comment
