vw2019 pdf turning black when zooming

I've a pdf in a design layer, everytime I zoom in , it turns black for 1/2 secs before going back to white - Have I a setting wrong somewhere or a bug?

(was hard to catch with a screenshot !)

You could try to set your VW Preferences OpenGL from best performance

back to performance and compatibility.

Oh, saw your Specs in your Signature,

are you on VW 2016 ?

and on the 21.5" iMac (with Intel Onboard GPU only ?)

can't see my own signature ? ! how to I change that?

 

 no its 2019 on an  iMac 5k, 27" , 4.2 GHz i7, 40gb ram and radeon pro 575 4gb....

tried the same pdf in 2018 and it works fine... guessing a bug then...

OK, so I think we can not blame the hardware 😀

 

I had similar visibility problems with VW 2019 and Viewports.

And the problem went away by lowering GPU acceleration.

You can try the lowest Setting temporarily.

Are you also on Mojave ?

(wich is not recommended for now)

 

If High Sierra I think it is a task for VW Support.

 

 

In your forum profile is somwhere a setting to show

or not show Signatures.

Do not now where as I have to search for everything again

each time too ...

yes its High Sierra ,  

 

changed setting to best compatibility only and this has stopped the black appearing.....

I think best compatibility means no GPU acceleration at all.

 

So it may have to do with GPU and VW 2019 improvements for PDFs.

UPDATE: best performance works also  - just the middle setting makes it a mess..
