I know at some point I will go back & try and make Storeys work. Don't like it, but that's where the software is going I get that. For now I have production to get through & there is a nagging question I can't seem to get since the advent of Storeys. Here's my issues:
- The Layer wall heights no longer seem to work properly. Walls seem to be somewhat arbitrary in how high they are produced. The most recent example is on a renovation. The existing template has the main floor set to a Z of 00 with a layer height of 3050. A site measure gives me an actual height of 3200. Walls are set to Layer wall height but the wall keeps the old 3050 info. If I change the wall to Layer Elevation I then have to mandate the wall height to 3200.
As I say this odd behaviour has been going on for some time now, & I just have to go through at some point & fix every GD wall. My workflow was great until storeys, but this may be a coincidence. My template is a new 2017 file with lots of symbols that have been imported from older iterations that were batch converted.
