Aladdin HASP

Does VW use Aladdin HASP for verification?

 

I've been getting a few VW crashes lately after not seeing one for months.  I checked my console log and com.aladdin.hasplmd is crashing every 10 seconds.

It's not connected to VW.  It's a mystery from some other unknown software / device.

If I understand this correct,

Aladdin is a prior version of the known Sentinel.

 

So a)

it should be used by one of your older Software, which should help to easier find

the related App.

b)

Maybe there is an Update or SP for Aladdin or even Sentinel, that prevents it from crashing.

c)

Maybe it was used by Software that you got rid of long ago and you should get rid of

that Aladdin too. As these things are deep in your system it would be good if you could find

an Uninstall App or google how to best get rid of everything.
