Josh NZ
Not sure if someone can point out where I have gone wrong. I have tried to create a pool using the marionette. Have an extrude along path which creates the four walls. Have an extrude which creates the base of the pool. Have another extrude which will be the water (set down from the top of the pool edges). When I run exit I get a Marionette Execution Error, when I click on select node nothing selects. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pool.vwx Quote Link to comment
0 twk
Hey Josh, I believe you had a 'handle' type point to an 'int' for one of the subtractions. Below is an adjusted version. Descriptions in the Marionette Script area. A good way to start a Monday! Pool_tui.vwx Edited February 12, 2017 by twk added screenshot Quote Link to comment

0 AlanW
@Josh NZHi, there are a number of ways to create a pool and it can depend on the complexity of the shape. Will do a few different options for you to look at later tonight. Look at this post for simple box. (pool) Quote Link to comment
0 Josh NZ
Thanks for that Alan, it was actually your "fast cabinet" that I used as the basis for the pool. Was quite handy to be able see how it all works. I am having trouble with the origin part and the texture par thou. Ive had a look at the videos on youtube but can't quite find the right info. With the origin, I am finding that if I'm say in the view as shown above "right isometric?", then change the height or any other dimension, the objects become split and no longer on top of each other. With the texture I have tried adding the texture node, select a texture then link to the obj end of the object but I get an error come up. Do you of any videos or links that have more info on this? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

0 Josh NZ
I have altered Tui's file from earlier. I have attempted to add textures in a way that I saw in an example file, however I am getting errors come up. Pool.vwx Quote Link to comment
0 AlanW
@Josh NZHi there are many ways to do a pool and for complicated shapes it gets harder. But a challenge for later. Here is another way to do a simple rectangular one. If the textures change just re do them. HTH Pool_003.vwx Quote Link to comment
0 Josh NZ
Thanks Alan, that works great, I will have to make a copy and try altering some of the nodes to improve my knowledge. Quote Link to comment
