Andrew Mac
Is it possible to create a 3-d model of the ground around a house from knowing only the ground plane drawn in 2-d line for the four elevations? Quote Link to comment
AlanW
Hi, As long as you can set RL's of points along the line you can create on at the house and it will extend under the house. The surroundings would still need to created by 3D nodes or contours that you guess. So work out the levels on elevations and transpose those 3D points to the plan and create site model from these 3D points. HTH Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
the 2D lines would give you the heights at the house, and the heights projected from the house. I guess it depends how far the lines go from the house. the quality of your site model is based on the quality of the 3D data you use to create it. In your case, do you have confidence about the ground lines? Quote Link to comment
Andrew Mac
Okay got it- Thanks- I was able to use the stake tool and enter the heights around the property lines. Now how would i subtract from the site model where my basement goes? Edited January 15, 2017 by Mac B Designs Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Use Site Modifiers. Look first in VW's HELP for basic procedures, then ask followups here. Quote Link to comment
