A colleague of mine has downloaded the free month trial of vectorworks 2016 and the windows and doors tool is missing from his tool set bar. Quite a few of the other tool sets are missing within the tool set bar too. I have a bought version of vectorworks 2016 but I have used the free trial before and have had other friends and colleauges do so too and the download has always given a complete vectorworks package. Pat Stanford Posted September 6, 2016 Share Posted September 6, 2016 Have him check the workspace he is using. It sounds like he is in the Fundamentals workspace. Try the Architect or Designer workspaces have substantially more capabilities. 1 Quote Link to comment

Trials should always be Designer with Renderworks so you should have access to all workspaces. Normally it defaults to Designer but sometimes the tutorials (like the Fundamentals Getting Started Guide) have you change it and it can be easy to forget that you did so. Quote Link to comment

No At that time, for me it was always default to designer - which is good. But my first test was always to set it to fundamental or architect to see if I will miss something and what. Same for C4D Trials. EDIT : So I think it is ok that certain Tutorials ask to switch to a "lower" workspace. Edited September 7, 2016 by zoomer Quote Link to comment
