lolo66
Hi! Please can someone help me with this problem? I'm sure the solution is simple as i'm new to this! I've built an entire building and want to do section viewports of each individual wall of each room. So i've selected the viewport to start and end to show just one wall, but when the viewport is created, it's extended the view to show the entire length of the building. I can't figure out why it is doing this. Thanks, Lois Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
There are a couple ways to do this, but the easiest is to double click (or right click) on the VP and choose Crop; then add a rectangle (or any shape) to define the cropped area, then click Exit VP Crop. You can also define the length of a Section VP in the Object Info Palette (OIP). See help for more info. Quote Link to comment
lolo66
Ah thank you, that's worked. Would you mind explaining why the viewport is extending past the start and finish arrows? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Select the section viewport. In the OIP click on Advanced Properties… In the Advanced Section Properties choose the Extent tab. There is an option to have the length range be infinite or limited to the section line length. I think by default it is infinite. hth mk Quote Link to comment
