zoomer
I imported my first DWF file from ADT. The geometry comes in rotated. Seems like DWF has a typical Rendering App like Coordinate System with Y as up axis, instead of Z. Don't know if that is always a DWF standard or just DWF from ADT, so I wish for a import option to determine the up axis. Quote Link to comment
0 Art V
I created a 3D object in AutoCAD, saved the dwg in left isometric view and then exported it as a DWF. No custom UCS used. After importing the DWF into Vectorworks and switching to left isometric view it looked the same as in AutoCAD. Assuming the UCS in ADT works similar to AutoCAD... did you check the UCS in ADT before exporting? Especially if the followUCS is turned on it may be possible that Vectorworks is assuming a standard configuration for X/Y/Z which does not match the orientation in ADT. Just guessing as I have never used ADT though I would expect it to work similar to AutoCAD. Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
I have no ADT or Autocad. I got the file from a client. Don't know if there is a Y's up setting in ADT. F.E. Modo or Cinema have Y's up too but give settings to choose between UCS for imports. Also everything came in on Class None. I'm sure there would be a setting but the client isn't willing to test Quote Link to comment
