HEengineering
I have installed 2011 on two computers. 1 at work and one on my laptop. Now I want to take it off the laptop and put it onto my Imac. It will not allow me to do this bc of the 2 license agreement. However if I delete it off of the laptop will that enable me to put it on the iMac? Or is it two installs and then your maxed out? HEengineering
Nobody? I thought this would be a common question. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
HE, Not 100% sure but I think you can install it on the third machine, but it will only run on one machine at a time. That means you will need to make sure to quit VW's on one machine before attempting to start it on another... Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
I just upgraded the hardware and OS on my old computer and was given the "maximum installations reached." So I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. That doesn't work. Of course tech support is closed over the weekend...so there's no answer there. Very frustrating. Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
Called tech support today. You are allowed to have 1 license on 2 computers and that's it. If you transfer it they will have to authorize the transfer for you. Quote Link to comment
Farookey
Hi... Dunno if this would work, but try this... Go to the system on which you wish to remove VW, and open the app. Navigate to: Vectorworks > Preferences... and click on the 'Sessions' tab, and then the 'Serial Numbers...' button. Remove the serial number from here, and thereafter install, and (re)activate VW on the other system (If it allows you to). You should now have VW installed on 3 systems, but only working on one (through one serial). You can therefore remove the non-working VW if you so desire... I believe it should work, but I have never tried it myself to confirm... Let us know if this helps... Quote Link to comment
Assembly
We have one install disk for 3 licenses. I have used the disk a number of times. 2 laptops. 1 work station + another worksation that had hard drive problems. I must of installed vw on it 4times at least. I was sharing my user folder on dropbox for a while. This meant that the user certificate was often over ridden and required 'authorization' lots of times. I be never had any issues with the install Quote Link to comment
