propstuff
Does anyone know how to save the cavity settings for the double line polygon tool for use again later? cheers, N. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
The only way I can think of would be to use the menu command "Custom Tool/Attribute...". Set the Double LIne the way you like, then run the command. A script will be created. Double clicking the script and the tool pref's and attributes will reappear -- like magic! Of course you could also just use the wall tool and save it as a "Wall Style". Edited July 20, 2009 by CipesDesign Quote Link to comment
propstuff
Hi Peter, I tried that but it didn't work. not sure why. I've been given a new group of interior design students, and I wanted to avoid the wall tool for the time being until they've consolidated some basic 2D drafting principles. anyhoo........ cheers, N. mike m oz
Nicholas the Double Line Polygon tool uses the same component dialog process as the Wall tool so I'm not sure why you want to use it rather than the Wall tool. To keep it simple I would have used a Wall without components instead. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Nicolas, I tried it before responding yesterday and it worked fine. You need to make sure that the tool is ACTIVE (and completely set up the way you want) when you invoke the command, then make sure to select ALL of the available parameters to save. Let me know if it works... P Quote Link to comment
