Update Viewports?

Why is it that when I enter the annotation space of a SLVP and draw something, then exit, all my SLVPs through my drawing show up with the red candy cane border as thou they need updating?

Nothing has changed for them to need updating, it is frustrating.

why not leave them till later, then update then all at the same time

That is not the point - why are all like this if only one has been altered

Same with Worksheets too I think - if you recalculate one all are recalculated

I have seen this also, but if you think it through, it's really a good thing. If you link your viewports with formulas, and when you must update them one by one, you'll need to do it in a certain order. Now it will update all and it will be correct.

I have noticed a similar thing happens when i go into my drawing border on my sheet layer and alter something (scale, text etc) it makes ALL the viewports need updating even though whatever i have changed in the drawing border, it has NO affect on the viewports. Any ideas? as this is very frustrating and really time consuming. Cheers.

I run into this all the time too. VPs show a need to be updated with changes that DON'T affect the VP. This IS time consuming/wasting. NNA please do something about this.
