michael john williams Posted October 7, 2008 Share Posted October 7, 2008 What is the best graphics card for VW? Got a 250w 256mb ATI Fire GL V7200 garaphics card at the mo - is that good? Is there better / more compatible? Is there any VW links to advice? Thinking of the card on a new Dell pc we are getting. Thoughts appreciated. Quote Link to comment

What is also important are the graphic card settings. Maybe someone has worked out the best settings for various types of graphics card? Quote Link to comment

brudgers Posted October 8, 2008 Share Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Sounds fine to me. I have one of the recommended (per the Knowledge Base) quadrofx cards. The problems I have with vectorworks (related to graphics) seem to be a function of the required quicktime interface. Video intensive applications are more likely to crash when I'm running Vectorworks. In my opinion, quicktime is not very robust on the windows platform.
