CS1
Can someone please have a look at these and tell me whats going wrong. Looking at the right hand side "decked" area for each image you will notice: On Screen: Appears Fine PDF: Appears Fine Print: Few deck lines disappear (decking is a hatch) Quote Link to comment
Gerrit
No idea about what's going wrong. In case the area is drawn with a polygon, does it have extra control points along it's bottom or top border ? If so, I'd delete them. Another thing to try as a workaround : open the hatch, and move the startpoint XY by a teeny weeny bit. Quote Link to comment
maarten.
Looks to me that your printer is out of memory and therefor skips some information. The phenomenon Gerrit explains could also be it, but normally it should also be visible on screen, so I don't think it's that one (but it never hurts to try it out first of course ). Do you have this with a lot of drawings, or just this one? If only this one, then maybe it would be better to make a PDF out of it and print that one, otherwise you'll loose a lot of time finding the problem (just my experience). Quote Link to comment
islandmon
These days it appears that printer drivers have issues with old-style ( Quickdraw ) Fill-patterns. They require vector or image fills, only. Great looking work .. suggest a scale bar to complete the design... Quote Link to comment
CS1
The decking is a rectangle. It seems that when an object with "opacity" less tha 100% is placed over a hatch it does this. I have a relativly new printer (HP Color LaserJet CM1015 PCL 6) Does this sound like a pirnter related issue? Quote Link to comment
M.CH
Are you using patterns rather than hatches? Patterns can be random in terms of reproduction at the printer end. What resolution have you set your printer in the dialogue File>Document Settings>Document Preferences>Resolution. You might find this varies between the pdf setting and the printer setting Quote Link to comment
CS1
Have checked the print reesolution in the above described location and it matches the PDF (72) I have only used hatches, not patterns. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
There is your answer. 72 dpi will not give you good printed output. You should have it set to at least 300 dpi. Quote Link to comment
