paulg
Hello I have a file ( A) with mutiple layers, It also has layers referenced from file (B). I have created viewports of these referenced layers from B on the layers in A. Now, When i try reference file A into a new file it tells me the following " A viewport has been removed from the referenced layer "SEC 05", as these are not supported here." This would be fine if it did only remove the viewport but alas Vectorworks crashes. I don't really want to have to delete the viewports in the layers as i still need them. If it helps, the report generated for apple has this in it... Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x0000000c Anyone come across this or have a cure. Thanks Paul Working on a Imac G5 Mac os 10.4.11 Vectorworks 2008 13.0.1 Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tolu Posted April 24, 2008 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 24, 2008 Paul, did you attach the crash log to the bug report you submitted? If not please, send it to me (tfapohunda@gmail.com). Also, What version of VW are you using? >I don't really want to have to delete the viewports in the layers as i still need them. You must be using the old style. If you need the Viewports, you will have to use DLVPs as your referencing system. Open the Organization dialog Switch to the Reference Tab Click 'Settings...' Under 'Use this method to reference VW files', choose 'Design Layer Viewports' Quote Link to comment
pe4wardace
I have similar issue - VW 12.0 crashes with use of classes dialogue box - nearly every edit to a class or addition of a class... Using Leopard now...didn't have this problem with Tiger/Panther Sending you the log, tfapohunda by email. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
You need to upgrade to at least VW12.5.3 for Leopard compatibility. It is a free download at nemetschek.net Pat Quote Link to comment
