David Hogan
Newbie VW user. Brought in DXF file to new drawing. No setup run. No views, viewports assigned.Started out in plan view, switched to rendered isomentric-no there is both the plan view and the rendered axon iso. How do I default it to only show the current view while in design mode? Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Some of the objects in the dxf file have been converted to 2D VW objects. When you change to a 3D view only the 3D objects change their orientation because of VW's 2D/3D hybrid environment. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
If you use "StackLayers" 2d objects will no longer intrude into 3d space. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Also, a dwg import resets the drawing's layer visiblity to Show All when a new layer is created. Your 2d and iso data may be on two layers. Reset the layer visibility to Active Only. -B Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
when you import a dxf or dwg file, it pays to think about the import options. there are several options that you can play with and depending on what you wan to use the file for, you can make life easier or harder for youself.
