sfatelier
I am having problems trying to generate an extruded object above finish floor height. Do I have to do this with layers. I don't seem to be able to do it in the object info pallete. Is there somewhere else I could do this? Thanks Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
extruded objects will always extrude relative to the working plane. ie. draw a rectangle, extrude it positively in plan view, and the rectangle will rise up from the finish floor height. You can then move it by using a 3d move. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
if you want you can change your working planes, but the easiest way is to extrude the object, accept that this object in on the floor and use the Move 3D... command to move the object to the correct Z value. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
Thanks! That did it! Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
It's true, I long ago gave up moving the working plane for simple stuff. Unless the plane is truly not a predifined view, I don't bother. I'd like for VW to be a little simpler in moving planes. Quote Link to comment
