0 CipesDesign
I'm on a Mac, so my experience may not be relevant. I have had the exact same thing happen. For me it was due to an incorrect IP address (of the plotter). The file would get sent -- somewhere... Just not to the correct somewhere. So my question to you is, how is your plotter connected to your computer? Quote Link to comment
0 D Wood
Peter Does this mean that somewhere in the world some poor sod's plotter suddenly sprang into life and printed out your drawing? The mind boggles! Regards David W Auckland NZ G5 iMac, 1.5Gb RAM, OS 10.4.4 VWA+R 11.5 Epson Stylus Color 1160, HP Designjet 110plus nr Quote Link to comment
0 CipesDesign
LOL! I never even thought of that. Sound's like a good start for a novel :-) Quote Link to comment
0 mac@stairworks
I also have a Designjet 430 used with Win XP. I plot full scale drawings of stair parts but VW will only plot up to a certain length. usually around 90" at the most. anything longer than that, when I hit OK to print it, it doesn't respond. My other question is, am I the only one that can't get a print preview in VW? Quote Link to comment
0 Kevin
It has been mentioned on this forum before that VW has a maximum length for printing. Looks like you must have found it. Not sure what you mean by print preview. In OSX, preview is available as part of the OS. Don't know about Win XP. Quote Link to comment
0 alanmac
mac@stairworks I think the preview thing is driver related in the case of Windows. I know on my little 1220 you have to go "file" down to "print set" up in VW and press "properties" next to the printer showing as the active printer, then under the tab marked "preferences" change the setting to get a preview at print time. May be the same for you. Alan [ 02-16-2006, 12:41 PM: Message edited by: alanmac ] Quote Link to comment
