grant_PD
I've started giving led tape run lengths in scenery, as it speeds up the bid process. Using the data tag tool is great, I can just click on the lines to get lengths in plan. But what if there are two runs of tape side by side? Is there a way to dynamically add a multiplier in the OIP of the data tag? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted May 3 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 3 you could create a custom record to attach to the lines to include this information, then pull into a worksheet. Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
@TomWhiteLight smart thinking. Can the record pull the lengths of 3d objects, like nurbs curves? Quote Link to comment

The record can't, you might be able to map the length field to a record field using the data manager but I am not sure how to set this up. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted May 6 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 6 You should be able to do this by setting the criteria to 'type is NURBS curve' and then selecting 'Function-Objects General-Length' in the columns section. 1 Quote Link to comment
