Vectorworks 2024 SP2

I am trying to update Vectorworks 2024 to the latest 2.1 update using the updater app. It tells me to quit Vectorworks and then click "Start" which I do. However, that message continuously comes up even though the program is not running and the update never happens. Any ideas on what to do?

Restart the computer and see if the problem goes away?

Pat I tried that. I even added the updater app to be allowed to work through my firewall.

I don't run Windows so this might not help with your issue -- but one thing to confirm is that the Vw Updater and Vw both are set to 'Run As Administrator'.

Yes, I have tried that as well. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

This thread has a similar problem.  Solution was to contact Tech Support directly.

 

If you get a "simple" solution, please post it back here for others.

Yeah. I have reached out to them. Waiting on them to reply on next steps. I checked the other thread you mentioned Pat. I did the repair in the advanced options and it said it fixed 1 file, but still won't update. Hopefully they will have a solution to fix my problem.

I had the exact same issue for SP2

 

VSS support were unable to resolve the issue, I had to do a clean install using the latest installer (I backed up my user files first)

 

I now have the problem with SP2.1
