Peter Telleman
Hi everyone, I'm exploring the SoftGoods Tool, and right now I'm doing pipe and drape. The options to pick from seem quite limited. Is there a way to make a custom slider range, base size and colours? The slider bars we have in stock aren't in the dropdown menu, same goes for bases. Thanks a lot, Peter Telleman Quote Link to comment
markdd
Yes, but you have to customize the Soft Goods tool from the plug-in manager. I have just added a 10" x 10" base. I am not sure how orthodox this is and whether the powers at Vectorworks even encourage this, but some of the plug-in tools allow you to do this. Proceed with care! Peter Telleman
@markdd very cool indeed, do I need to restart after adding a size, it doesn't seem to show up when drawing. It says while doing it , it will save the changes. But when using the soft goods tool for pipe and drape, my added base size doesn't show up in the options. Peter Telleman
@markdd Found out on similar topics that I needed to run as administrator, and that did the trick. But I'm still gonna fire a follow up question at you. The base and upright colours are Silver. I can change that in the plug in to black, but that does nothing to the actual colour. Any thoughts on that? 1 Quote Link to comment
markdd
Take a look at the 3D options. You can assign individual textures to the Bases, Curtains, Track, and Uprights. 1 Quote Link to comment
Peter Telleman
@markdd Is 3D options something I can find in the plug in editor, if it is, I can't find it 🙂 Quote Link to comment

Peter Telleman
Found it, thanks a million. Thought it was in the plug in manager as well, and was going mental trying to find it 🤪 1 Quote Link to comment
