Cadplan Architecture
I have a sheet layer with a coloured 3D view of a house and three flat line elevations of it as viewports. I want to show the windows/doors open on the 3D view but closed on the hidden line viewports but I can't seem to see where to do this. Is it something that needs to be added to the Wishlist maybe? 1 Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
it would be nice to have that control. I've had the issue before, where you want to open the windows in 3D, but then the elevations are all messed up. 1 Quote Link to comment

Cadplan Architecture
Wow it's crazy that this has been wished for for well over 10 years! In these days of sophisticated 3D architectural modelling it seems an odd omission. I wonder if Revit has the capability?? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I have two concept demo scripts that sets the 3D open of doors to either open or closed. Short scripts. Should be able to do the same with Windows. Could you run a script to close the windows/doors, update the hidden line viewports, then run the script to open them before doing the 3D rendering? If you use Saved Views, you could even build the script in as part of the Saved View so when you went to that view you would have the correct setting. But a Per Viewport setting for this would be the best option. Quote Link to comment
