Exported files to AutoCAD showing message "produced by an Autodesk student version"

AnneSea

Question

I am exporting files from VW 2018 and this message is coming up for both of my subs. Is this from Vectorworks or AutoCAD and how do you get rid of it? I should add that I have a Vectorworks license and both my subs are using licensed software from Autodesk.

Strange,

typically Autodesk warns if you open a DWG that was saved from another App.

Something like not genuine DWG and such.

Which often makes Clients afraid. Although these DWG may be 100% compatible

and free of issues ....

But I never heard of a warning about being created in a student version.

Maybe that is the next escalation .....

Not nice.

But I also do not know a solution.

It certainly sounds like one of your consultants is not using a commercial version. See this post from Autodesk

The only way I could see it coming from Vectorworks is if you imported a DWG/DXF file at some point that came from an Autocad Student Version.

Interesting. I do use base files from a laser measuring company and then I draw over those and export. I wonder if it's the laser measuring company that is using the student version. I will do a test with a file without that.

Thanks for the response and the link!
