    Anyone know why some of my window tag numbers show and other do not? Also, when I update the viewport they show for a couple of seconds and then some disappear. I have looked at my window settings and they appear to be the same so not sure what is wrong. I am still on the learning curve...so my model file is not the "prettiest" 🙂 SULLIVAN model.vwx

    Anyone have a method or tutorial for inserting a skylight? I have tried inserting a Velux skylight from the Resource Browser into my roof but it always turns into a dormer. I am unable to edit the dormer, only the roof. I feel like it should be easier than this. 🙂

    Interesting. I do use base files from a laser measuring company and then I draw over those and export. I wonder if it's the laser measuring company that is using the student version. I will do a test with a file without that. Thanks for the response and the link!

    I am exporting files from VW 2018 and this message is coming up for both of my subs. Is this from Vectorworks or AutoCAD and how do you get rid of it? I should add that I have a Vectorworks license and both my subs are using licensed software from Autodesk.

    Thank you Wes. I will take a look at those topics. I think part of my issue is that I got too far down the road with the model without building it properly with the stories. And thanks for the tip on the slab v. floor tool.

    Having issues with my site model. I imported an aerial photo with contours and then traced the contours as polylines. I go through the steps to create the model (survey input - 2d ploys to 3d source data) and nothing comes up when I validate the 3d data but when I build the SULLIVAN site.vwxmodel it doesn't work.

    Hi Wes Yes, that is what I was trying to do. Between the upper floor and the main floor I was able to "close the gap" by inserting a slab. Or should my wall height include the depth of the floor slab? And thank you for the tip to close the gable. I will give that a try.

    I am new to Vectorworks and using 2018. I have built a 2 story model with a basement and cannot get the basement to bound to the main floor slab. I was able to get the upper floor to bound to the main. I chose not to use Stories with this model...will delve into that with the next one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. S model.vwx

    I am using VW 2018 and I am on a windows with windows 10. Up until a few days ago I could see it too. Now it's like there is a hidden line diagonally across the mode.

    I am new to Vectorworks and learning and working on building a model for a real project. I am no longer able to see half of the model when I rotate around and I am not able to do elevations for the portions of the model that I can see. I don't believe it's the clip cube or anything to do with the origin point. I have attached the file here if anyone has an idea. Thank you! S model proposed.vwx
