0 bcd
I believe you can duplicate *& rename the preferences.xml file for later use but the more important question may be why this keeps happening in the first place. Edited March 13, 2023 by bcd Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
You really redirected your VW settings on One Drive ? Usually they reside in User .... App Data .... Roaming .... VW ..... (Sorry no Windows in front of me) On Mac these are also usually on a user folder : /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Vectorworks/2023/ (Beside a little bit neglect able in all user's library) Usually you can transfer some of the basic settings over from VW version to VW version - with care. Or better migrating after Installation and testing .... Edited March 13, 2023 by zoomer 1 Quote Link to comment
0 hollister design Studio
@zoomer Yes! I live in the mountains in northern CA. We get evacuated often for wildfire - Backups are very important. I've had to purchase new computers and get set up in a hotel three time in the last four years. I have ALL my program preferences backed up online so I can reset anywhere with limited breaks in workflow. I have adobe, autodesk and vectorworks backed up on onedrive. 2 Quote Link to comment
0 hollister design Studio
@bcdI'll try that. Although it would just be simpler if there was a "save preferences" and "Load preferences" button... We already have it with 'workspaces'. It just makes no sense to me that work space 'preferences' are any different. 20 hours ago, bcd said: ... the more important question may be why this keeps happening in the first place. I do think it has something to do with VW not playing nice with OneDrive... 1 Quote Link to comment
