Fundamentals

I have recently purchased fundamentals following a trial of Architect.  There are two basic element that seem to be missing.  Rotate View and the Navigation pallet. I am sure when I have used fundamentals previously 2012? These features were available.  I have also checked this sheet

Are they available and I can not find them or are they striped from the Fundamentals version?

Hello,

I'm sorry to say that's an error in the PDF of commands and tools.

The Navigation palette is not available in Fundamentals. The Rotate View tool is available in Fundamentals; it's located in the Visualization tool set.

I would really recommend upgrading to Vectorworks architect. Not only do you get the rotate of you and the Navigation palette but you also get many very powerful tools and techniques.

AFAIK, Walls are meanwhile gone in Fundamental too.

 

If you are doing mostly Architectural projects, need BIM models and 2D generated Plans,

as Jonathan proposed, it may be worth to upgrade to VW Architecture.

But if you are working mostly only in classic 2D and/or do standard 3D Solid Modeling,

VW Fundamentals mya be totally appropriate, just get used to Class/Layer Dropdowns

in Top Bar and organizing them in a row in Organization Window.
