  1. Hello, I'm sorry to say that's an error in the PDF of commands and tools. The Navigation palette is not available in Fundamentals. The Rotate View tool is available in Fundamentals; it's located in the Visualization tool set. Alexandra
  2. Hi, The online help does not go into great detail on this subject - see https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2021/eng/index.htm#t=VW2021_Guide%2FConnectCAD%2FEditing_devices_and_sockets.htm We say that "The ConnectCAD template contains sets of classes with names that clearly indicate their function. The classes can be edited to change the appearance, font style and color, etc. of various ConnectCAD objects for a customized look." If that's not detailed enough, I can add more information in the future. FYI, I searched for "signal types" which got me to "Adding sockets, loops, and terminators" and from there I clicked on "Editing devices and sockets." Alexandra Manager, Technical Publications
  3. Thanks for the feedback, Andy and rDesign. Sorry to let you know, we had so many users tell us that they love the collapsible sections (since the parameters don't get in the way of the overall process, once you are familiar with the parameters), that we plan to keep them in the help for now. I know that doesn't help you, but at least it explains why we have them. Alexandra
  4. Done! You'll see this in the next version. Alexandra
  5. Apparently the Hyperlink tool has an issue with the link I posted above on Mac (or with Safari as the default browser). It works fine on Windows/Firefox. We're looking into this problem with the Hyperlink tool. Alexandra
  6. Hello, Please try this link to link to the Symbols page of version 2019 help: http://app-help.vectorworks.net/2019/eng/index.htm#t=VW2019_Guide%2FSymbols%2FSymbols.htm The link you were trying to use is used only by Vectorworks for context-sensitive help and isn't the right format to use for a general link. The link above ought to work (I am on Windows and it works fine in Firefox and Chrome). FYI, you can always link to the latest VW help, regardless of version, with help.vectorworks.net as the URL, should you want to create a link that is not tied to the version. Hope this "helps," Alexandra
  7. Hello, This often happens when we update the help for a service pack, which we just did. Try first refreshing your browser; if that doesn't work, clear your cache, and you should be good to go! Alexandra Alexandra Duffy Technical Publications Manager Vectorworks, Inc.
  8. Hi Kevin, You're right. Looks like we need to add this - my apologies. We'll get it into the help for the next Service Pack (#1) . Thank you! Alexandra
  9. Hi Kevin, Try refreshing your browser and clearing your cache to avoid the strange link issue. As for "screen aligned," are you referring to the screen plane? Alexandra
