APE Design Ctr
I am rendering a viewport of an architectural object outdoors. I create a viewport, and change it to Perspective - Normal. I get, what appears to be a terribly stretched object, kind of like the perpective point is way off the screen somewhere else. I placed the objects in the centre of the drawing sheet (X/Y) thinking that was the problem, and it doesnt help. What can I do? Thanks Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Have you tried setting the view first, and then creating a VP? I find it gives me more control:-) Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Oh, PS: if the VP contains multiple layers you would need to first create a layer link, then set the view, then create the VP... [ 12-30-2004, 10:37 AM: Message edited by: CipesDesign ] Quote Link to comment
APE Design Ctr
Can you please explain a little further (I am still fresh) What do you mean by Setting view, and what does this do? Also - linking layers. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
if you need an explaination of how and when to use layer linking and how to use the Set 3D View command (both of these are on the view menu), then you need some training. Both of these topics are covered in my Essential Manual that many people here on the list have used to great success. The manual is available from: https://vesta.safe-order.net/archoncad/manuals/manuals.php Quote Link to comment

LarryAZ
After you get the perspective window use the "walk through" tool to back out till you see the whole object, and then use the "translate view" tool to move the object inside the perspective window. Larry Quote Link to comment
