  1. Hi, I'm using Vectorworks 2023 SP1 on a MacBookPr0 2017 running Ventura. A "newbie" question that I haven't found an easy answer to... I have applied a simple legend to each of the seven Lighting Devices rigged on a vertically hung 7-rung ladder. I have created a Schematic "Top" view of the ladder and, after rotating it 90º, it displays the "Lighting Pipe Ladder in Schematic view" and the seven lights and their legends (Channel, Universe/Address, Colour, Gobo etc) absolutely perfectly. So far so good. How do I hide the Legends that are displayed one on top of the other beside the "real" 3d Lighting Devices when in Top/Plan view while still showing the Legends beside the "Lighting Devices in Schematic View"? Many thanks, John
  2. I want to generate a work sheet that could list some of my class's fill and pen style? I would like to create a legend as s keys at the side on my sheet. I have some landscaping area and also some non-landscaping area which need to shown in one legend.
  3. Hi everyone, After searching I can't seem to find the answer -- How do you create a 3D label legend? I know how to create it for the 2D plan, but can't figure out how to add it into 3D as well. Thanks!
  4. I am wondering if there is a way to use a script to populate a worksheet with all of the Plant Plug-in objects that are located within a file's Resource Manager, but not necessarily placed in the drawing. Could this also be refined to populate the list with Plug-in Objects placed within a specific folder in the resource manager? Can the script mine the data of the plug-in object to list the latin name, common name, schedule size, etc. similar to a database worksheet does for objects placed in the drawing. Thanks.
  5. I have a Keynotes Legend where the *.txt documents are saved on a server. The server has had an issue and being repaired, so now the keynotes legend shows as multiple NAs as trying to reference the old folder location. If I click on remove gaps I get a crash withe the Exception Code c000041d. I have gone to Text>Reconcile Notes and redirected all the callouts to a copy of the *.txt documents on my C: so no longer looking at the server. Have tried a few times but after clicking the final OK, VW goes into unresponsive mode. Following an earlier topic I have allowed VW to keep running rather than closing in the hope that it will finally work. Its been over 30 minutes, Im wondering if I should keep waiting, or is this a bug?
  6. General Notes and Keynote Legends should be Resource assets which can be placed on multiple Sheets. In the Resource Browser (or the pending Manager), you could have a Notes Folder which has 'Exterior Elevation Keynotes', 'Floor Plan Keynotes', etc. That way I can have the same set of Keynotes on multiple Exterior Elevation Sheets, for example. Right now, if you have two sheets of exterior elevations or floor plans, you cannot use Sheet Layer Viewport annotations and automatically have Keynote 12 be the same on both sheets. If you want to have coordinated keynotes across multiple sheets, you have to do all your annotations on a Design Layer. Then you have to make a specific SLVP for the Keynote Legend on each sheet.
