I am trying to use the cable planning toolset to draw cables between fixtures. As we mostly use hybrid cables with True1 AND DMX in one cable, I would like to be able to draw this in Vectorworks. Is it possible to create a cable part with both a DMX and True1 connection at each end, but combined in one single cable? And how would I go about doing it in Vectorworks?

Is there a way to hide the "(XX' Extra)" part of a cable label in Spotlight? I'm drawing cables not-to-scale, and manually setting cable lengths. I'd like to display these specified lengths normally, but without the extra label.

Does anyone know if it is possible to define the cable options presented in the OIP? Im sure everyone can agree the connector types are not exhaustive... Corbin

I've been playing with the new cable tools in VW2017. I am wondering if there is any way for the tools to drop the info for whatever jumper into it's associated fixture. For example, if I am using the "Assign Multicable Circuits" tool it is assigning circuit name, circuit number, as well as dropping a cable into the drawing based on your settings. Is there a setting or way to have that cable input into a field in the fixture. So in addition to assigning circuit name and number it would also put "5' L6-20" into a "Jumper" field or "10' 5pin DMX" into a "Data" field. Is this something that already exists or can be done within the current version? This would allow cable fields to be exported to Lightwright 6 which I think would make managing the cable info created in Vectorworks much easier.

Hi folks, Trying to make a worksheet report that includes the start and end label but it seems that the end label isnt an option. Is there another menu where I can select perameters to add? Being able to make a document that I can hand off to crew to make install is a big deal. Labels for both ends matter... *Sorry for the dodgy photos...

Is anyone else having issues with the Assign cable Circuits tool not adding the Jumpers or randomly ignoring the modifier keys (I.E. CTRL for twofer SHIFT for skip) ? half way through a drawing and all of a sudden no jumpers. save and restart and nothing. the tool is also randomly applying the modifier keys super frustrating.

Spotlight - Cable Swag Tool
allannathan posted a question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
I'd like to request a plugin tool to create cable swags. Sometimes you want to show the crew where their cable swags should drop off. Step 1: draw a line Step 2: choose the start height and end height. Step 3: choose how much swag or droop to have Optional: Maybe the tool can calculate how much cable is in that run. -
