  1. just to keep debating about the topic: Archicad (I've been using it for many years in the firm I used to work with) has a straightforward way of handling every sub set of preferences. That is to say that what we call Workspace for VW, that contains both palette schemes and shortcuts, in ARCHICAD is managed so that user is able to export single palette scheme rather than single custom keystrokes.
  2. What you say PAt makes a lot of sense expecially when one or different users have different monitor sizes od switch form desktop to laptop and the other way round. This said, how would you reccomend sharing customized keystrokes, if possible?
  3. So, found out that the crash is related to the fact that the arrow tool had the inwall option enabled that therefore let the door be accidentaly dragged out of the belonging wall. This causes VW2025 to start beach balling. Hope this crash may be fixed soon.
  4. I've tried to perform the very same action on my MacBook Pro (M1 Pro 16GB sonoma 14.7) and was able to reproduce the very same beachball freeze of Vectorworks 2025. Attached the vwx file condominio_via A Ricci-Foggia_v25.vwx
  5. noticed that it somehow happens even trying to move the same kind of door in the wall. Resizing the door via the OIP goes ok.
  6. When resizing in 3d view by dragging the center top handle of a Door Garage Single Flush placed in a wall, Vectorworks starts beachballing endless. So I have to force quit (waited overnight). Happened two times in sequence. Attached the crashlog. VW2025 architect ita update 2.1 R1 (build 788841) MacMini M1 16GB Sonoma 14.7.1 crashreportVW25-.rtf
  7. Bingo for Pat! I was focusing only into the structural member style and not going throu the "Plugin style options".
  8. Hey Pat, just to dig this out. I'm wondering what should be a proper workflow to handle visibility of some design elements. Let's say structural member (beams, vertical pillars). Once choosen with a certain style or unique section (that dictates the visualization of fill, boundary and so on), in the OIP the inserted "object" just relays on the given layer but class is seto to NONE and greyed out. What if I want to hide the vertical pillars only BUT not all the other objects that belong to the none class?
  9. It seems that this behaviour is present up to VW2024. So (on a georeferenced file) if someone wants to place a north arrow on a layout paper the north custom orientation will not work. The only way is to ungroup the symbol and rotate it as wish. Maybe a simple OIP check mark option to ignore true north would make our designing life easier.
  10. My setup with super lag (it happens when from VW i move the mouse on the second monitor: Mac mini m1 Macos 14.6 connected to: Huawei Mateview via USB-C (first displey in System preferences) AOC monitor via HDMI (side display in SP) WindowsServer goes up to 95% in Activity Monitor. Right today I upgraded to 14.7 and I'll check if this fixes.
  11. As per Vectorworks versions that have Data attributes available, one method to achieve this visualization override is by assigning obect to a record with desired data attribute and consequent data visualization set.
  12. can you link to the webinar please, I'm unable to find it. Or if it's in the University, which is the exact name of the webinar?
  13. I've not clearly got what is meant by "spraying" movement as "opposite of up and down movement". Would you please clarify it?
  14. I've tested out Vectorworks Nomad function which let us make plans by using iPhone Pro embedded Lidar sensor. Used my brand new iPhone 15 ProMax and for sure the speed and overall survey is pretty nice; but the resulting 3d model measures are not reliable. Measures are always shorter by about 11 to 12 cm when between 150 to 450 cm. On a longer distance of 708 cm the model measure is 689 cm so -17 cm.
