  1. It depends of which system you're using (Windows or Mac OS), and the keys are not specific to Vectorworks either. In Mac OS X degrees is alt 0, diameter is alt o, and radius is Alt p
  2. Nothing there Kevin. I've restarted the machine too. Maybe I can send you the file to take a look at?
  3. I don't think it's specific to your system. I find zooming and panning jumpy.
  4. This is already implemented in version 12 kadayi.
  5. Today I overwrote another hour or so's work with a blank file when I attempted to save and replace a Class Mapping File. I went through the laborious task again of remapping the 100 or so classes and then when I go to save a new Class Mapping File it creates a blank text document. Any ideas? I'm a bit screwed at the moment; I don't want to close the File Mapping dialogue window because I don't want to have to define the mapping all over again, which means I can't carry on with other work.
  6. Hmm, I like the sound of that, or maybe just the ability to hover over an object and have the smart cursor tell you which class and layer it belongs to?
  7. Thanks for the moral support guys. That's what I needed the most probably. Pete, I think I might try your strategy. I have it set to save every 7 minutes but having it save before my 99 undos are up makes good sense. Thanks.
  8. Can we have more than 99 undos? I just deleted a days work. I was working on a site doing the groundworks and had two groups related to two buildings. While I was working on the 2nd one I must have deleted an object that was actually part of the other group. When I zoomed out it was too late; I'd already done more than 99 actions.
  9. Alan, uh I see. Yes we have the same problem with planners.
  10. I'm using Class Mapping to change the name of some classes but appear to be limited to 20 characters. Does anyone else have this problem?
  11. Alan, I'm saying it's a logical fallacy to blame the problem of doing work for free (which is a economic issue) on capability (which is a issue of technology and skill). The problem is not one technology, but of economic arrangements (something that NNA is not in the business of rearranging).
  12. What happens to VW Viewport Annotations in AutoCAD? Does AutoCAD have something similar or do they make their way onto the model space somehow?
  13. Well, with respect, this is not a technological problem.
  14. Yeah, a bit rough on the face of it.
  15. There is a downside to this; the plugin objects are no longer aware of the wall, meaning they don't know which is the left and which is the right side of the wall and you can't create things like wall cavity returns.
  16. Can you explain what advantage you think there will be for the end user? I was under the impression that we wouldn't see much difference with an application like VW, especially under Mac OS X 10.5.
  17. Not from a users point of view. I find it a right pain in the butt.
  18. Cool, thanks Ray. That's the first time I've ever opened anything to do with VS. Question: when giving it a keyboard shortcut in the Workspace Editor how do I know which keyboard shortcuts aren't already used?
  19. I searched but couldn't find any mention of this one. I'd like a keyboard shortcut to toggle Zoom Line Thickness on and off.
  20. Come to think of it, such a system could take a few pages out of the Notes Database Manager system.
  21. Not quite sure what you mean, but I do know that if you have problems with window sizes off the screen you can resolve it by changing the screen resolution to a lower level in System Preferences and then changing it back again.
  22. I'd like an intelligent Break Line tool that is aware of an objects fill/hatch, or simply has solid fill on one side with no fill on the other so as to achieve the 'better' or 'best' options as shown below:
