We are looking into something similar, directly enabling tags on posts alone wont work since then you get a mismatch of clutter when pulling up the contents of that tag if anyone in the topic DOESN'T use the tag, but we think there may be a way we can improve this slightly differently.

Yes, it was because of tabbed documents. The X on the document tab closes the file and during beta users used to the red X for closing the document kept closing the application which was bad, so it was disabled.
