Mat Caird
Hi all can anyone help with this error please. I am trying to import a new texture using the resource browser I thought about posting it in the Renderworks forum but it seems to be a general sort of conflict... Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
islandmon
You can not import textures onto an active Symbol only via Symbol Edit into an existing Symbol. Therefore, if an object must be selected during import ... select a neutral editable object like a wall or cube ...not a 'locked' symbol like 'slatwall unit'. The 'error' dialog is not very informative in this instance but it sure beats 'error code -39' ... ; ) Quote Link to comment
propstuff
The problem here is not actually due to texturing a symbol. I've had this dialogue using VW10,11 and 12, trying to apply textures from the libraries supplied with the relevant version. Sorry; I don't have an answer. Maybe ask Dave Donley (NNA) Quote Link to comment
Mat Caird
thanks guys Nicholas was right, and having 'no active symbol' didn't help. workaround: use another texture..... Quote Link to comment
Guest
This was actually a bug with the library file that shipped with VW 10. You shouldn't have this problem with any library file that shipped with 10.5 or later. If you are getting this, especially with VW 12, please send the file with the texture and error message you are getting to tech@nemetschek.net. Please be sure to include the version the file originated in. Quote Link to comment
propstuff
I'll see if I can dig one out. One file might have been started in VW10 -converted to VW12, and I was trying to use a VW12 texture in it. Would that bring up the problem? As it happens, I was just in another file and chose Create Report. In the list of Report Formats was "NNA Rough". Should that be there? N. Quote Link to comment
Guest
It could be, if the file originated in VW 10. I'd like to get a hold of that file and the other one you are having, if possible. Quote Link to comment
