stevewrightni
Hi, Im using vectorworks 2021, purged the document to reduce the file size and now half the document is gone! all layers and classes appear to be turned on I thought purging only removed things that were unused like unused layers and classes? 0 rDesign
Have you tried using Undo to get back the objects that were deleted? That or restore to saved version (assuming you hadn’t saved the file). Most likely when you ran the Purge command, under ‘Other Items’ you had also checked ‘Objects Outside of Page Boundaries for’. That option can be very dangerous and should only be used with caution. Per the Help File that ‘Objects Outside of Page Boundaries for’ option will: Quote Deletes any objects that are totally outside the page boundaries; if an object is partially within the boundary, it will not be deleted. Objects can be deleted from the active layer only, from all design layers, and from all sheet layers. 1 Quote Link to comment

0 Ride
For a while I had a problem with the purge command deleting everything in my drawings, so I quit using it for a while. I just checked, and it's working normally again. I haven't changed any purge settings lately. I really hope you didn't lose a ton of work!
