Peter Neufeld
Hello, If you select more than one Truss System in order to change the height via the 'Change Trim Height of System' in the OIP, you can't as the option is then greyed out. However I just discovered a way to do it easily and thought I'd share. Just select all trusses and motors with the selection tool and choose the Move 3D command from the Modify menu. In any view, enter the number in the Z field and the trusses move accordingly with the motors staying put. Very quick movie no sound attached. Peter Neufeld
Even better, or at least as good: the Modify>Align Distribute command works for all Truss Systems! See movie (it takes a few seconds for the command to execute). Cheers, Peter PS Just discovered it only works for Bottom not Top alignment which makes sense I suppose. David Dauphin
Hello Peter, I just read your tip. It's a great tip that i didn't know. I no long have VWX2020, i've got 2021 with new hoist tool, and that tips seems to don't work with 2021 hoist and trusses. All the system is moving and that change the high hook z ! May you test it in 2021 ? changer altitude truss multiples v2021.vwx Quote Link to comment
David Dauphin
Hi again Peter, I have just re-install VWX 2020, and I can confirm that your tip is working great with 2020 but no longer works with 2021 😞 I post a bug issue. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Peter Neufeld. Posted August 13, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted August 13, 2021 Dear David, It's probably not a bug but rather a useful happenstance that the above tips worked for the motors in v2020. The Motor objects were totally reworked for 2021 which probably explains it. I think perhaps maybe an enhancement request might be better? Cheers, Peter Quote Link to comment
