Benson Shaw
Rotate Line rotates in wrong direction. Usual convention is anti clockwise rotation for positive angles. Sample network uses only nodes from v2020 default library. Pilot error? Node bug? Grzegorz Krzemien
@Benson Shaw, Hi. Try editing Rotate Line node. There's "-" in a front of "rot" in vs.HRotate definition indicating clockwise rotation. Change: #script vs.HRotate(line, p, -rot) For: #script vs.HRotate(line, p, rot) In 2019 works. 1 Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
@GRZEGORZ Thanks for looking into this!!!!! And posting a solution!!! @all, esp vwx folks This node appears to be Working as Designed (WOD), but I think rotation should default to counter clockwise. What is logic behind the choice of clockwise rather than counter clockwise rotation? I can customize the script, but will need to change every existing instance of the node. and keep a customized one in library. I filed a bug and a wish for choice of direction in the standard Rotate Line node. OK, any further comment appreciated. -B Edited November 13, 2019 by Benson Shaw bug & wish filed Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted November 13, 2019 Marionette Maven Share Posted November 13, 2019 @Benson Shaw I've also got a bug in for this, and at this time is is WAD. I'll try to get it updated for our next version, but we can't change the functionality of nodes in service packs because it can break existing networks. Thanks for sharing your findings, all! 1 Quote Link to comment
