AN Design Posted March 2, 2005 Share Posted March 2, 2005 When trying to Clip surface in edit Roof, an error message occurs, indicating an illegal object selected. However the clipping still occurs. It will also not let you shift clip objects. You have to Drag Marguee in order to choose the roof plains in edit mode. Did not have this issue w/ 11.0.1 What gives Quote Link to comment
Rpb Posted March 2, 2005 Share Posted March 2, 2005 I have noticed it will not let you ungroup a roof after using the create roof command. This is a must when creating complex roof systems.If you use the edit group command, all the roof faces are locked. ?? Quote Link to comment

I can CREATE ROOF ( simple or pretty complex); I can UNGROUP (however there is an ALERT, making sure that I want to "Ungroup high level object"); and once ungrouped each ROOF FACE can be edited (changed in shape) by double-clicking, which brings up the 2d polygon which represents the roof face. The roof faces are not locked... Quote Link to comment
Jim Smith Posted March 3, 2005 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Sometimes I will edit a roof's 2-D polygon & when I return to the 3-D model, the roof I have just edited jumps in the "Z" direction (sometimes seveal meters).
