techdef
Hi, newB here... trying to edit a slab drawn w/ Polyline mode & need to snap it to walls. When I enter Edit Boundary mode, all other geometry disappears - how am I supposed to snap? Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I wished for this often too. But it is still not possible in VW 2019. A Workaround is to edit Slab Boundaries by Modify Tool as if a Slab would just be a 2D Element. And for Holes in Slabs you create 2D Polygons and add or subtract them just like 2D Objects when selecting both Slab and 2D Objects. For changing Holes in Slabs you should enter (blind) Slab Modifier Edit Mode anyway from time to time and delete the Modifiers there and start Them from scratch in that 2D way, as otherwise the changes and their Modifiers would overlay over each other with time and create a mess that can cause problems at one point. Boh
I think slab boundaries use the same X-Y coordinates as the actual slab object so another option is to draw a polygon on the slab, cut it, go to edit slab boundary, paste in place, add or subtract to boundary. Quote Link to comment
