Major DWG Import problems

Hey all,

 

Im running VW2018. Up to recently whenever i try to import a DWG on either a current session or on a new session things go wrong. It says that its importing, then confirms that the import is complete however nothing appears. 

 

Then on occasion when you shut the file down and re open it, it then tries to restart the import. 

 

Any ideas?

Firstly, make sure that you don't have "Reference" checked in the DWG import Options Dialogue Box. If you do, then every time you open the drawing, the file will re-import the drawing again.

 

Once the import is complete, make sure that nothing is selected and then click on the Fit to Objects button or use Menu>View>Zoom>Fit to objects. All your imported geometry should appear in the drawing window.
