2018 Title Block/Sheet Border - Copy Input Fields from Another Drawing

Recommended Posts

I have a 2018 sheet border/title block design that I made in my template file.  I want to use this in an existing file.     When I tried copying the sheet border from my template file and pasting it in place in my existing drawing,  all of the data fields are reset to default,  How do I correct this?   I've tried purging sheet border special records,  reseting plugin objects.

Hello Wesley,

Do you have any other Title Block Borders in the file you are pasting your template TBB? If so, what option are you selecting on the Merge Formats dialog? Could you test this in SP-2, when it is released, and let me know if you are still reproducing it?

Thanks,

Nikolay Zhelyazkov

I don't think so.   I also got no merge/replace dialog,  so that leads me to believe that I didn't.   I will test in SP2.  Hopefully that means SP2 is appearing soon. =)

I just tried this with a different file that did indeed have an old title block

I was prompted with no merge/replace dialog of any kind.

I just did this in SP2 and the problem remains.

What happens when you import (rather than copying & pasting) the Title Block Border from the source file into your destination file via the Resource Manager?

I also just tried this in SP2 and got the same result.
