Toggle Working Planes - Instant Crash

When I toggle working planes in the object information palette with regard to Hybrid symbols and plugin devices I get an instant crash. This happens on both of my installations of VW 2017 SP3. This seems to happen in a Top/Plan view. 

 

Is this a known issue? What's the solution?

I am unable to replicate this, does it happen even with one of those dropped into a new blank document? If so, could you post a sample file here please?

Here is the file plus a crash report. If you select the symbol "crate" and then toggle between the working plane and the layer plane in the object info palette it crashes after a couple of presses. seems only do it in Top/Plan though

There it is! Submitting the file now, thank you. Most likely related to the symbol and/or it's contents, a few others I pulled at random from other files don't crash out at all but this one does instantly.

I tried simplifying the 3D geometry since it was a few different types (that shouldn't matter functionally but sometimes containers within containers act weird) but that didn't affect it. The 2D geometry is so simple I can't imagine that being it, we shall see what they come up with.
