Opening up New instance of VW2016 causes crash

Everyone in our office is experiencing the same issue. If we have a VW16 file open, then later on open up another VW16 file, one out of three times the software crashes.

Not happening with any other software.

All machines are above minimum install requirements.

Some are above recommended.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Yes it happens all the time.

I see it more often when I double click a file more than if I open from the software.

I'm so nervous about the software crashing I save every few key strokes.

It's ridiculous.

Yeah it's becoming a running joke here that when ever one of goes to show another a bug, we open up another file to see if occurs there too and the software crashes as well as having the bug.

Is this a drinking game? If vwx crashes at one station, all other operators have to take a drink?

Actually, I'm not seeing many crashes. I have my save set to 25 actions (as someone recently commented - "25!??? Really, Benson???). And, of course what I get is crashes when the save didn't work - clicking away, vague notion that something (the save window) is missing, the spinning beachball, the Vectorworks Unexpectedly Quit. Do you want to restart? At which time I visit the backup folder and the source folder to see which file is most current.

Anyway, sorry for your many crashes, and my few ones.

This is getting a bit crazy, how do you submit this as a bug when it happens to all files and on all computers?

Has there been any developments on this?

For the last 10 minutes I have just been opening up the hatches files that come as part of the libraries on VW2016, had about 5 crashes. This causes so much lost work I'm surprised that this hasn't been addressed.
