krw Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 recently, I have been having a problem with entering data in the object info palette. When I enter information then click enter the cursor highlights the next field of info then immediately goes back to the first field of the record. So, instead of being able to type, hit enter and goes to the next field, I have to constantly click on the field I want, then type. Is this a bug? do you have any suggestions/solutions? jfmarch Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 We have found the if you hit the 'enter' key (on Mac Powerbooks), the data entry works the way it is supposed to. the 'return' key seems to work the same as the 'tab' key (?). hope this helps. Quote Link to comment

It doesn't happen with all documents. I can't figure out any pattern. Was the file you are having the problem with a converted file from an earlier version? If so, what version? Part of the documetn have been copied from documents that were converted from vw 9 to 10. (What record format is showing this problem>?) It is not specific to a record but to a dcument. Most of the record I am using have been created in house or are modified vw records. Quote Link to comment
krw Posted July 1, 2003 Author Share Posted July 1, 2003 yes this is how it was in vw 9, that was fixed in vw 10 so that you could use either key. My problem is not concerning which key to use, it is that the cursor alway goes back to the first field when I hit enter instead of ging to the next field in the data record. Quote Link to comment
