displaying fractions

Under Fractional Display for Dimensions in the Units submenu there are 3 choices: the middle option, let's call it the diagonal formatting, works quite well for most fonts when dimensioning an object but does not appear to be available outside the dimension tool, such as in straight text. What's the workaround?

+1 the ability to display fractions consistently in any text object (dimension, text, callout etc.) is a good wish.

+1 from me too, though I don't use fractions all the time the behaviour should be consistent across all texts.

Maybe an option to toggle auto-stacking would be nice too if you have a lot of fractions in regular text.
